Position Summary:

The Director of Account Management in Verizon is responsible for managing several strategic and mission critical streams in Verizon’s Radio Access Network (RAN) domain. Verizon is currently Cellwize’s top RAN Service Management & Orchestration (SMO) customer, and hence the main focus of our global R&D and operational efforts.

The ideal candidate must have deep experience in Telco account management leadership coupled with RAN domain expertise and well versed in Matrix organization-type management.

Based on future developments of Cellwize in North America additional accounts might be added to the responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and expand the current contracted streams in Verizon

  • Spearhead the BD activities within Verizon

  • Orchestrate and lead complex sales campaigns

  • Develops and maintain key relationships with the customer – this is a hands-on position where we expect to have or develop their own relationships in the account

  • Develops and maintains effective communications and liaison relationships with staff and field personnel that support effective achievement of the corporate goals.

  • Work closely with Cellwize HQ in Israel, to align strategies, build processes, etc.

  • Analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations to improve sales methods, organization and coverage

  • Understand the 'bigger picture' and business drivers around the development of the RAN domain: ORAN, vRAN, automation, 5G SA and NSA

  • This position requires extensive travel within the US, specifically between NJ and Dallas.

Experience Requirements & Skills:

  • 10+ years of relevant field sales experience in RAN, RAN Automation, Enterprise Telco software technologies. Experience in managing people, both directly and in Matrix-organizations

  • Demonstrated track record and experience working in a complex and fast paced global work environment

  • Proven experience with the Verizon’s CTO and RAN performance organizations and relevant stakeholders in the automation domains, ORAN and vRAN

  • Proven ability to develop and deliver strategic sales plans in the market, selling to major operators

  • Excellent written, speaking and listening skills; possess the ability to communicate effectively and with all levels within the organization.

  • Relevant technical competency in the RAN automation domain to enable recognition and competent discussion of issues and their solutions.

  • Track record of exceptional and consistent quota achievement through management of a region.

  • Trained in sales management – has attended relevant sales management courses.

  • Solid History of Account Management.

  • Solid history leading a successful Sales campaigns

  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills required.

  • Solid understanding and usage of databases, analysis tools, standard reporting tools.

  • Self-Driven and Self-Motivated leader

  • Team player and keen learner

Organizational Alignment:

  • Reports to the Qualcomm regional VP Sales

  • Enlists the support of sales, Pre-Sales, project managers, marketing and other management resources as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

• 8+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 15+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

• 4+ years of working in a large matrixed organization.

• 2+ years of working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

• 2+ years of negotiating 3rd party business agreements.
