Job Overview

The role is to

Support Qualcomm customer which developing mobile phone/tablet based on Qualcomm solution

Help chipset OEMs to understand Qualcomm software solution on PMIC, give customers training of Qualcomm products

Help and guide customer engineers to resolve the issues in using Qualcomm PMIC chip and software drivers

Play consultant/expert role, trouble shooting, identify problem reported by customers, analysis and narrow down the root cause and fix problems

Main responsibilities:

Provides timely and accurate answers to common customer inquiries.

Identifies customer problems and works with manager and/or project leads to recommend solutions.

Review customer modifications to Qualcomm solutions.

Performs root cause analyses on basic customer problems to identify underlying issue.

Participates in integrating Qualcomm software to customer requirements.

Assists the development team with customizing Qualcomm software to meet customer requirements.

Debugs issues in customer software systems.

Communicates essential technical information to be leveraged by sales and marketing teams.

Participates in and represents customer perspectives in internal project meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

2+ years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

2+ years experience with debugging techniques.

2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong experience in ASM/C/C++ programming

Strong embedded software debugging skills on driver/system level on real time operating systems or android system

Familiarity with ARM or other (X86, MIPS, PowerPC) architecture, assembly, emulators/JTAG-debuggers.

Experience of reading hardware schematic

Sound knowledge of Power Management including Buck converter, boost converter and LDO (Linear Dropout Regulator)

Sound Knowledge on Switch Mode and linear chargers

Fuel gauge / battery monitoring system/charging experience

Hands on experience debugging SMPS performance parameters

Experience with test equipment such as Oscilloscope/Logic Analyzers tools

Experience with Linux kernel driver development

Education Requirements

Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

2+ years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
