As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.

General Summary:

To join Qualcomm Customer Engineering team and work with OEM/ODM to design & develop IoT devices based on Qualcomm platforms.

Customer Engineers are expected to:

  • To communicate with internal product & development teams on any HW/SW design related issues/features from customer designs

  • To work with customers in resolving any feature development and product commercialization issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with OEM/ODM on the design, optimization, integration, testing and commercialization of Qualcomm IoT, Robotics solutions.

  • BSP integration, development, system debugging on OEM/ODM designs.

Expertise in at least one of the following areas:

  • Windows BSP development skills

  • DDR memory, eMMC/UFS,

  • Peripherical interfaces includes USB, PCIe, SDIO, SPI, I2C, I3C and etc.

  • Linux/Android framework

Minimum Qualification:

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work on resolving customer reported technical problems during mobile or wireless communication product development cycles.

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills and willingness to work with customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Windows/ Linux/Android software development in both user space and kernel space.

  • IoT experience or devices experience.

  • Good C/C++ skills and embedded programming skills.

  • Experience in Linux Kernel driver development, boot optimizations and Linux Kernel power management.

  • Linux/Android framework and system integration experience is plus.
