Job Overview
We seek a passionate engineer with in-depth knowledge on embedded system design and development for new imaging technologies to join the Camera Firmware team.
The Camera Firmware team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets that power mobile, IoT, XR devices and Automotive ADAS system. Our solutions leverage dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, as well as scene data for image understanding and object detection. Responsibilities include the following:
Embedded low level camera driver design and development, work throughout the firmware life cycle.
End-2-end system development, prototyping, and commercialization of new camera features and technologies.
Work with camera architecture team and performance team to define the new camera solutions.
Basic Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
2-5 years Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or related work experience.
2-5 years of relevant camera or image processing software experience:
o Strong experience with C/C++ programming, Python, and Matlab.
o Experience with microcontroller architecture, RTOS, ARM architecture.
o JTAG, ADB, Git, Perforce, JIRA, ParaSoft.
o Functional safety methodology, MISRA, code coverage.
o Signal/image processing
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in camera and computer vision system design for smartphone and automotive camera.
Low level performance and power optimization
Android SW stack, kernel mode driver
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
