General Summary:

Qualcomm AI Research is looking for talented machine learning research engineers with experience in machine learning to enable real-world deep learning. Join a high-caliber team of engineers building advanced machine learning technology and best-in-class solutions. We are based in Seoul and work together with our other team members in San Diego, Amsterdam, Toronto, and Beijing.

We are making AI technology be around us at edge devices, attend and assist people and learn from interaction without many labels, together with other devices in a federated way. The selected candidates will work on one of the topics in the list below.

  • Test-time adaptation, Efficient learning/adaptation methods for on-device learning

  • Domain adaptation, Domain generalization, Knowledge transfer

  • Unsupervised / self-supervised / semi-supervised learning

  • Representation learning

  • Life-long / continual learning

  • Anomaly detection, Out-of-distribution detection

The developed theories and algorithms can be applied to computer vision, audio, and speech tasks such as image classification, semantic segmentation, video classification, audio scene detection/classification, automatic speech recognition, and speaker identification/verification. Also, the research results can be published as a conference paper.

The ideal candidate will have good capability in both deep learning research and practical implementation skills.

The developed technologies will be deployed on mobile device applications and have a great worldwide impact on the on-device learning algorithms using Qualcomm chips.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Machine learning knowledge and experiences

  • Recent deep-learning research experiences

  • Good programming (e.g., Python) skills are required to develop research prototype

  • Algorithm implementation experiences using python with deep learning platforms, e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow
