The Latam IoT Business Development Manager has a customer-facing position, responsible to drive growth of IoT business within LatAm as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for related business areas ensuring that the customer targets are met as well as that Qualcomms profitability goals are met/exceeded.
The IoT Business Development Manager will be tasked with ensuring prospect development with both existing, and acquisition of new clients, and working with early adopting customers, engaging with our partner ecosystem, working to build repeatable solutions for our sales team and to plan for future services and solutions, positioning Qualcomm as a leader in the IoT solutions market.
The IoT Business Development Manager will be part of a diverse and highly successful and energetic team and will benefit from collaboration with leading ecosystem of technology suppliers, customers, system integrators and value-added resellers. This role will report to the Director of IoT Sales Latin America.
Identify, support and close on new as well as existing customer opportunities for Qualcomm in the IoT solutions space;
Elaborate business models, go-to-market strategies, together with the full technology stack, data connectivity, cloud and analytics through a trusted consultive approach;
Sell and support system-level concept development of IoT solutions including chipset and SoCs to prospects/customers in the Latin America;
Manage a matrixed decision-making hierarchy and execute a sales strategy to ensure consistent pricing, quota, planning in which high-quality customer requirements are met;
Drive overall market and technical strategy as it relates to Qualcomm solutions and services; (social selling index SSI)
Help define the market segments, customer base, and industry verticals we target and set a strategic business development plan for target customers;
Leverage Qualcomm Management Executives and other senior Business Unit Leadership within the account when appropriate to strengthen client relationships and drive high revenue growth;
Network internally (BU) externally to stay relevant within the assigned vertical and territory;
Build and manage influential relationships with the IoT ecosystem to accelerate business executions and drive revenues;
Ability to travel to remote, non-headquartered locations, up to 50% of the working time.
Experience with the development or system specification of Connected Embedded systems in both HW (concept, definition, PCB, implementation, test) with emphasis is SoC based solutions, and SW (firmware, system app, RTOS, OS) with emphasis in Linux/Android;
Knowledge of WAN/LAN wireless connectivity with focus in Cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, IEEE802.15.4;
Background on Computer/Electronic Engineering Bachelor;
Experience with technical sales and business development having as kay premise to drive high level IoT implementations in the following macro verticals: Smart Cities, Smart Home, Smart User. Proven experience on discrete and turnkey IoT solutions such as HaaS, PaaS, SaaS, dedicated IoT wireless connectivity, hardware, applications, cloud, analytics is required;
Knowledge of the industry/market in Latin America (mainly Brazil, Mexico, Argentina), able to engage with decision makers of customers;
Background on Sales and Business Development in Embedded Computing & Networking.
Experience Salesforce (mostly on opportunity management). Obs: The knowledge of internal Qualcomm tools such as Createpoint, Demantra, QAN is valuable;
Availability to travel to countries in Latin America, USA, Asia;
Fluency of English/Spanish.
Semiconductor experience is a plus.
Bachelors degree in Computer/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
