This HRBP role will be based in San Jose/Santa Clara and will support QCTs Connectivity and Networking BU GM and Engineering lead along with their staffs. The C&N BU consists of the Wireless Infrastructure and Networking (WIN), Mobile and Compute Connectivity (MCC), Small Cells, Internet of Things (IoT), Wearables and Voice & Music (V&M) businesses. The team collaborates across the division and with all functions as well (engineering, finance, operations, supply chain, program management and marketing). The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with leadership in designated business units and/or global business functions. The position serves as a strategic consultant and trusted advisor to the leadership team on human resource-related issues. The HRBP takes the business unit/global function through the calendar of HR events, sits as part of the leadership team, acts as an employee champion and serves a change agent for the business
The HRBP also assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. The HRBP proactively communicates said needs to the HRBP Leadership Team member and the appropriate global HR function and seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the global HR functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
To accomplish this the HRBP engages the technical talent and expertise (e.g., compensation design, organization development) from the COEs (Centers of Excellence) and the Solutions Partners to deliver the HR services needed by the business. You will work with executive business leaders to translate business needs into HR initiatives, goals and priorities; coach, mentor and advise leaders as well the following:
Lead strategic activities, such as talent discussions, business transactions (Merger, Acquisition, Divestiture), employee engagement, organizational design, and change management and workforce planning (site strategy, expansion, restructuring)
Serve as the HR point of contact for leadership to help the business achieve its goals
Drive implementation of HR initiatives, goals and priorities; ensure alignment with all HR Functions in support of the business

10+ years of Human Resource Business Partner or equivalent experience.
3+ years' experience in Organization Development
Ability to effectively consult, enable and align at executive and organizational level (client group and HR)
Strong business acumen (understanding financial scope, operational knowledge and competitor landscape) and ability to influence and effectively communicate across all levels of organization
Strong change management experience and adaptability; ability to lead change management efforts
Strong Generalist/Functional HR knowledge; ability to coach/mentor leadership
Ability to work within a matrix org; ability to analyze trends and metrics
Required: Bachelor's, preferably in Human Resources Management
