QCT Thermal Systems team is looking for a Thermal Systems Engineer. This team collaborates with other QCT teams to define the thermal and power management systems of the baseband, PMIC, audio and connectivity components to ensure compliance to thermal and power specifications. The tasks can include:
Definition of control systems for thermal and power management with a focus on modem technologies.
Coordination with Modem, PMIC and RF systems teams to drive overall systems architecture.
Coordinate with Product Management, Marketing and Customer Engineering to communicate product features and gather key customer requirements related to power and thermal.
Analysis of power and thermal measurement data to understand, tune and enhance control systems to deliver optimized performance within internal and external specifications.
Development of new algorithms for thermal and power management.
Coordination with thermal mechanical, test and customer engineering teams to develop solutions for mobile platforms.
Development of tools to improve analysis of large data sets related to power and thermal measurements.
Coordinate with hardware development, software development, test and customer engineering teams to deliver thermal and power control systems.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.
MS with 8 yrs or BS with 10 yrs experience in system or chipset development for wireless/handheld applications
Strong knowledge and experience in power management and thermal mechanical systems
Experience with software development, wireless technologies, semiconductor design and development, mobile systems definition or architecture definition for mobile platforms.
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
