Job Overview

The Sr. Sourcing Manager will work with cross functional teams to drive optimal business solutions for module-based products. The position is accountable for supplier sourcing, development and management from concept to HVM while meeting cost, quality and supply objectives through business model optimization and negotiation while maintaining supplier relationships.

  • Negotiate/manage cost of modules and components, develop cost model, establish and maintain cost database.

  • Work with engineering to optimize module architecture for power, size, and cost

  • Perform RFQs and make sourcing recommendations

  • Formulate business model, draft agreements and negotiate contracts.

  • Work with cross functional teams and external partners to ensure project on schedule

  • Plan for capacity, oversee capacity expansion, smooth ramping up and down.

  • Manage and improve supplier performance

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum five years of experience in semiconductor industry with experience in test, high volume manufacturing and planning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record in new product development and supplier relationship management.

  • Ability to translate technical requirements or issues into business context.

  • Direct hands on experience and/or Strong familiarity with semiconductor packaging technologies, microelectronics assembly process and testing, and mobile system architecture.

  • Well-versed in interfacing with various cross functional teams including Design Engineering, Product/Test Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain Management and Program Management.

  • Strong negotiation skills and proven track record of driving projects to timely completion.

  • Advanced Excel and database experience and skills to automate sourcing and cost management process, conduct ROI / Capex analysis, and large data set manipulations.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's, Chemical, and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Materials Science

Preferred: Master's, Chemical, and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Materials Science
