General Summary:

Qualcomm Technologies is looking for a tech-savvy, self-motivated Communications professional to support Snapdragon Compute (Windows PC) Public Relations at the Company, working closely with Product Marketing, Product Management and Global PR subsidiaries, to drive Qualcomm’s Compute marketing communications efforts ongoing and for key launch moments. You will be immersed in technology communications as Qualcomm pushes innovation in the PC industry, by supporting Snapdragon product and partner launches.

The individual will be responsible for:

  • Developing materials, plans, and brainstorming – including press notes, FAQs, and media pitches.

  • Manage the PR agency on work such as reporting, deliverables, media lists, project management, contracting, etc.

  • Work with the Company’s influencer lead, to oversee day-to-day management for Compute-specific influencer marketing programs and assume the primary project management role for influencer coordination for Compute.

  • Participate in market update and strategy conversations at the center of the PC industry, and engage in general media monitoring to watch trends and identify opportunities for Qualcomm’s compute team to engage with a news cycle.

  • Gain thorough insight into the business and industry and provide internal stakeholders with unsolicited, insightful ideas on improving efficiencies of Compute communications.

  • Build and maintain relationships with North America Compute press, analysts and influencers.

  • Maintain a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration with agency team members and across marketing and communications teams.

This is an office-based position located in San Diego, CA.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Public Relations or related work experience.

OR

Associate's degree and 4+ years of Public Relations or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qua lifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in public relations, exposure to influencer/content creator marketing, or marketing in general.

  • Experience working on Compute technology or OEM devices.

  • Has excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Able to plan effectively with attention to detail, while prioritizing effectively across simultaneous projects.

  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and works well with others.

  • Is motivated, self-starter, with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Is a creative problem solver and undaunted by challenges.

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business or Technology/Engineering or related field

Pay range:

$109,500.00 - $164,500.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
