Qualcomm's Global SoC team is actively seeking candidates for its low-power design and implementation team. This team is responsible for designing, verifying, and implementing power management IP for Qualcomm's Snapdragon mobile SoC devices.
This role is responsible for developing, improving, and executing physical synthesis solutions on Qualcomm's complex power management IP cores. Specific tasks include improving power, area, congestion, and run-time of existing flows, creating new UPF-based physical synthesis techniques, supporting power-intent definitions, and automation of flows. A successful candidate will have expertise in state-of-the-art physical synthesis tools and methodologies as well as experience in implementing IP with multiple power/voltage domains, timing constraints/closure, performing netlist-level ECOs, and understanding power-aware DFT techniques.

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years in low power related ASIC design, CAD tools, validation, or related work experience in implementing complex subsystems with multiple power domains
8+ years of experience in low power ASIC implementation, design, power analysis, and tool automation:
Proficient with Synopsys DC, DCT, or DCG tools, UPF, Primetime, PTPX, Conformal Low-Power
Programming languages: Verilog, System Verilog Python, Perl, TcL, UNIX, C-Shell
Familiarity with advanced low power techniques and high-speed clocking.
Education Requirements: Bachelors, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Masters, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
