Qualcomm Low Power IC Design Technician in San Diego, California

General Summary:

Qualcomm provides complete chipset solution that includes CPU, Modem, Application Processor, Multi-media engines, Interconnect and more. Power is a key area that drives the value of our chips. As fabrication technology node shrinks, and performance requirement become higher, it is crucial to provide power optimized solutions, which is the responsibility of the group that you will be working in. Key responsibilities are:

  • Analyzing and Estimating power using industry tools like PTPX

  • Efficiently summarizing/organizing large sets of measured data in MS excel/power point

  • Validating power estimates with measurements on target

Minimum Qualifications:

Courses, certificates, diploma and/or experience in the field of electronics or equivalent field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Electronics or related field

  • Basic knowledge of digital logic design

  • Basic knowledge of Integrated Circuits HW design

  • Basic knowledge of VHDL and/or Verilog

  • Experience with industry standard HW power optimization and estimation tools

  • Familiarity with scripting language like Perl or Python

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Power point
