Qualcomm's Global SoC team is actively seeking candidates for its ASIC low-power design and methodology team. This team is responsible for defining and implementing low-power techniques, power models, and processes for ensuring power targets are tracked and met as key design parameters for Qualcomm's Snapdragon mobile SoC devices.
This role is responsible for working with numerous SOC Design, Validation, SW, Test, and IT technology teams to deliver power-tracking automation flows for pre-silicon estimation and post-silicon measurement and will involve understanding the power metrics of SOC IPs as well as SOC power use cases. The ideal candidate will be able understand existing power flows, own the development of extensions to existing platforms or definition of new platforms to meet enhancement specifications. Previous experience with power analysis tools for both assessing power reduction opportunities as well as projecting power estimations, modeling power consumption of IP, and correlating pre-silicon power estimates with post-silicon measurements within a complex, deep-submicron SOC design is required. Familiarity with the ASIC design flow and SW development from specification through post silicon validation and measurement, database use and management for tracking, referencing, and mining large volume of data is highly desired.

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years in low power related ASIC design, CAD tools, validation, or related work experience.
8+ years of experience in low power ASIC design, power analysis, modeling, and tool automation:
Database Expertise: MongoDB, SQL, and associated tools: Qlikview, ThoughtSpot, or equivalents
Programming languages: Python, Perl, C++, System-C, UNIX
Familiarity with advanced low power techniques
Familiarity with ASIC Emulation
Familiarity with SOC post-silicon bring up and ATE environment, tools, and flows
Tool Familiarity: PowerArtist, Calypto PowerPro, Synopsys PrimeTime, PTPX, Modelsim, VCS, Debussy, Spyglass, and MS-Office
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
