General Summary:

Join QCOM Technologies Inc vibrant Software Global CAD team pushing the limits of flow architecture and database solutions for the Snapdragon chips powering billions of mobile devices. The position requires Computer Science education and experience, to define and code flow infrastructure tools and methodologies for shortening design cycle time, reducing the compute load, and reusing implementation recipes, in close collaboration with Snapdragon design teams. To a Computer Science engineer, the ASIC domain offers some of the biggest challenges in terms of algorithm and data structure, and Qualcomm Global CAD software team is tackling them upfront, through ML prediction, advanced database techniques, dynamic, etc.

This role’s responsibilities will include:

• Improve the SoC Implementation infrastructure for diverse Mobile, Compute, AI, IoT Snapdragon chips.

• Develop in Python and/or C++ CAD tools for design flow infrastructure in the domains of Synthesis, Floorplan, Place and Route and Design closure.

• Collaborate with both Global CAD Software Architects, IT and Snapdragon design team to develop solutions to reduce design cycle time, reduce the compute load and reuse implementation recipes.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

•1-3+ years of experience in C++/Python coding

• Exposure to ASIC domain through previous software engagements

. Appetite for solving complex algorithmic and database software application

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

•As a Software Engineer, participate to the development of the Snapdragon chip implementation flow, including the definition and development of the design database, the import/export between the db and design environment, the flow graphs, the user controls to sequence jobs, the automatic checks and monitoring on ongoing runs, the generation and dynamic update of results dashboards etc.

•Participate to the development of solutions for improving Snapdragon chips power, speed and area, applied to specific subsystems such as GPU, CPU, Camera, Video, DDR or Modem.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.

Pay range:

$108,000.00 - $162,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
