General Summary

The Product Test and Engineering (PTE) Engineering Operations team is looking for a highly motivated Engineering Operations Analyst to support the organization with headcount and capital tracking responsibilities. The role involves developing tools and workflows to support the operations & engineering leads with management of project finances and resources.

Headcount Tracking

  • Support forecasting, tracking, and reporting of resources (Regular, Temporary, Intern, Consultants), including target headcount management

  • Audit project headcount planning in Tempus based on engineering roadmaps and approved targets

  • Track and validate engineering project charging to support internal reporting

  • Create monthly presentations for engineering headcount reviews

  • Refresh internal headcount reports to support engineering questions on headcount status

  • Manage internal backfill tracking process and report

Capital Tracking

  • Consolidate capital forecast across engineering teams and submit reviewed forecast on yearly basis to finance

  • Refresh capital budget versus committed report to support engineering questions on capital status

  • Review Engineering Investment Council (EIC) presentations for purchases greater than $500K to ensure financial slides align with budget

  • Assist engineering teams with general capital questions regarding Budget Line Numbers (BLNs), budget transfers, and other questions that may arise

  • Establish collaborative relationships with Engineering Leads, Program Management, and Finance

  • Drive improvements to new and established processes and reporting to increase efficiencies across teams

  • Maintain and implement department and project attributes to enable dynamic planning and reporting

  • Other duties relating to headcount tracking and capital tracking as assigned

  • Technical Knowledge - Knowledge of one or more engineering operational focus areas (e.g., project management, finance, budget and HC planning, procurement, vendor management, demand planning, and space planning) to support the engineering operations management function. This includes knowledge of the relevant tools and processes related to assigned projects.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineer, Science, or related field OR Associate's degree or equivalent with 2 years of relevant work experience OR High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years of relevant work experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft (or similar) Tools: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint


  • 1+ years experience in data management and analysis in Excel, TM1, Tempus, Tableau, PowerBI, or other programs.

  • 1+ years experience supporting Engineering Operations, Engineering Finance, project, or program management.

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) - Project Management Institute (PMI)

  • Ability to quickly understand new processes and learn new tools

  • Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Sumifs, Vlookup/Index Match)

  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills

  • Self-motivated team player able to work autonomously, prioritize responsibilities, and communicate issues as they arise

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills


  • Frequently transports between offices, buildings and campuses up to ½ mile.

  • Frequently transports and install equipment up to 5 lbs.

  • Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g. standing or sitting).

  • Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

  • Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers and vendors both in person and remotely.

Minimum Qualifications


Associates, See the required degree associated with years of work experience

Work Experiences:

2 years of relevant work experience. with High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experiences:

2+ years experience supporting Engineering Operations, project or program management. ,1+ years experience in data management and analysis in Excel or other programs.
