As a member of QCT's Modem System Test group, candidate will be responsible for analysis and validation of physical layer and/or network protocol and performance requirements for complex digital modem products supporting 5GNR, LTE technologies. Will conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research toward improving the quality of QC's wireless products.
Responsibilities will also developing/executing test strategies and test plans, troubleshooting/analyzing problems and optimizing system performance. Candidate will be involved in building software for automation of log analysis and build advanced data mining techniques including machine learning.
Candidate will be working with a multi-discipline team (Software Development, System Design, Customer Support, RF Circuits and Hardware Design) to validate, automate validation process and commercialize QCT products.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Understanding of one or more of the following areas:
Digital communications systems, RF propagation, OFDM, Physical/MAC layers and Call Processing concepts.
Understanding of wire line and wireless data protocol stacks including: RLP, PPP, IP, TCP, IPV6.
Experience in Python, Relational Database programming and usage of advanced Python libraries for Data Mining.
Understanding of software design and optimization concepts.
Understanding of software development and testing concepts for wireless handsets for various air interface standards.
Familiarity with air interface performance analysis, characterization and optimization.
Exposure to commercial test simulators and test systems such as: Keysight, R&S, Spirent and Anritsu for wireless telephony product verification.
Handset test experience with UMTS/LTE operators or with commercial handset OEMs.
Effective team player with communication skills and able to work independently.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
