Qualcomm is seeking an experienced silicon security professional to drive the companys System-on-Chip (SoC) security product portfolio and roadmap. You will work closely with a variety of SoC subsystem technology product managers, engineers and business teams across Qualcomm, as well as our customers, to continue to develop and define our security HW and SW strategy.
You are a fast learner that can absorb a variety of technical information from our engineering teams and are able to translate that into higher-level product requirements and customer benefits. You have a strong background in the security industry to be able to generate relevant competitor analysis and apply it to our product positioning. You can quickly analyze the impact of internal and external technical proposals and determine the significance to our existing product offering, future product plans and customers. Having the ability to make decisions in the absence of a full set of data and facts is necessary to be successful in this position.
In addition, it is imperative in this role that you are able to take technical information and present it to a variety of non-technical audiences, both internally to garner peer support and externally to gain customer adoption.
The position requires that you have a charismatic personality to influence technology-domain peers, to aid in driving engineering teams to deliver on planned features and garner support in the organization around you to execute strategic plans. You will be able to evangelize Qualcomm security products both to internal and external customers. Effective communication skills are essential to accomplishing daily tasks.
We are looking for an individual that has a strong background in silicon security. Examples include experience in the following: the properties of cryptography and its usage, device authentication, biometric authentication, trusted execution environments (TEEs), digital-rights management (DRM) and/or mobile payments implementations. The ideal candidate has a long and successful history of commercializing new products with a variety of customers and partners.
A successful candidate will have a passion for product security and thorough knowledge of recent silicon vulnerabilities in the press. You are self-motivated and possess strong decision-making and prioritization skills.
Travel required up to 10%, both domestic and international.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
8+ years Product Management or related work experience.
10+ years of product management experience in wireless telecommunications industry
5+ years of security product experience in the SoC/silicon industry or Android/Windows OS industry
5+ years of experience with contract negotiations and software/firmware licensing
Strong technical background and understanding of cryptography (encryption/decryption, key generation, authentication and signing)
Strong technical background and understanding of TEEs, trusted application development and trusted application ecosystem
Experience with SoC/silicon security assessments and certifications: FIPS, Common Criteria, TEE security assessments, EMVCo, Global Platform, etc.
Experience with embedded HW and SW systems security and HW/SW countermeasures
Experience with the development, management and commercialization of technical product roadmaps
Familiarity with the mobile payments ecosystem, including payment providers and security product assessments
Familiarity with the mobile biometrics industry
Experience with HW and SW security testing, risk analysis, vulnerability impact analysis and ranking
Experience managing and motivating a team of dynamic individuals that consistently executed and commercialized products.
Required: Bachelor's, Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science/Engineering
Preferred: Master's, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science/Engineering
