General Summary:

Responsible for applying knowledge of printed wiring board design processes, methodology, and tools to execute tasks throughout the design cycle. Provides feedback on designs and requirements. Performs placement and routing of various circuit boards and develops fabrication drawings and documentation. Conducts design verification at each stage and performs basic signal integrity tests, and diagnoses and troubleshoots technical issues. Collaborates with cross-functional teams during the design cycle. Works to create and improve efficiencies, automations, and optimizations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field and 15+ years of PCB layout handling or related work experience.

OR

High School diploma or equivalent and 17+ years of PCB layout handling or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.

• 18+ years of RF, Mixed Signal, High Speed Digital, and Power PWB design or related experience.

• 18+ years of hands-on experience with Allegro, PADS, or Expedition layout tool.

• 6+ years in a leadership role with or without direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).

• 4+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above).

• 4+ years of working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees development and execution of designs across multiple teams and programs based on expert knowledge of printed wiring board design processes, methodology, and tools. Acts as a technical resource to others and sets vision and goals for teams.

• Oversees the interpretation and use of technical documents. Provides feedback on and collaborates with engineering to determine complex requirements, information, and specifications.

• Oversees and reviews placement and routing of highly complex, critical circuit boards.

• Works with cross-functional teams to oversee changes to highly complex fabrication drawings and other relevant documentation, ensuring adherence to PWB Standard Notes and Manufacturing Design Guidelines.

• Oversees final review of completed design with all stakeholders. Ensures recommended changes are made to the layout and appropriate approvals are gained.

• Work across functions to oversee development of automations and simulation platforms.

• Provides guidance to multiple teams on diagnosing and troubleshooting highly complex technical issues. Develops and documents solutions.

• Directs teams across the functional area to manage complex data and conduct advanced analyses for large projects. Leads others to verify the accuracy of data and analyses.

• Collaborates closely with high-level representative’s cross-functionally and with fabrication vendors and engineers to develop, integrate, and/or execute large initiatives.

• Oversees multiple, large, and complex projects that are relatively diverse in nature and objectives. Ensures project goals are met and assists with overcoming barriers.
