The Audio Product Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the audio software technologies for Qualcomm, across business units, with complete product definition and customer ownership of all audio software across Qualcomms audio platforms for the Mobile business unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life.
Drive QUALCOMMs software development process, liaise across engineering and teams (especially Snapdragon, HLOS, Core Audio software, DSP), create Feature Requests and own Software Products within Focal Point; take the platform through any necessary stage-gate processes
Responsible for Snapdragon voice and audio technologies which includes the audio digital signal processor (DSP), multimedia audio, audio post-processing, voice & speech, and voice activation / user interface solutions
Develop and maintain the audio software roadmap for development and delivery within Qualcomm platforms.
Develop Market Requirements for audio software products for the Mobile business unit.
Work with ecosystem partners, including cloud companies, audio and voice processing companies.
Provide support for audio software and voice processing algorithms across various business units.
Ensure that Qualcomm platforms have clear audio software requirements by coordinating with OEMs/customers, HLOS partners, Sales/Marketing, Customer Engineering and Product Management teams.
Contribute to the audio technology, product and platform strategy by supporting the various business units within Qualcomm.
Coordinate competitive analysis of all audio software including speech and audio technologies across all platforms.
Drive the overall communication strategy and development of marketing collateral including documentation for internal use, customer support and for external marketing of core audio technologies.
Coordinate product launch plans to launch audio features, products and platforms including training, documentation, trade shows, and sales guide.
Participates in strategic planning within own area affecting immediate operations.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
4+ years Product Management or related work experience.
MBA or equivalent
7+ years Product Management or related work experience.
2+ years negotiating 3rd party business agreements.
2+ years working in a large matrixed organization.
Experience and knowledge of related areas including USB Audio, ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), mixed-signal audio (DAC, ADC, amplifiers)
Experience working with program management, product management/marketing and engineering development teams on new and existing products
Strong critical thinking to produce innovative technologies and use-cases leading to successful feature and product launches
Working familiarity with Snapdragon chipset architecture and development
Previous experience with audio products such as: Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Amplifiers and I/O including audio codecs, audio system software and audio machine learning
Experience working with or developing audio products for smartphones, compute or consumer electronic audio products
Customer facing experience with presenting technology overviews, roadmaps and managing customer requirements
Experience working with program management, product management/marketing and engineering development teams on new and existing products.
Experience and knowledge of voice and audio codecs (AMR, EVRC, AAC, Dolby AC3), audio post-processing, multi-microphone noise cancellation, and voice activation technologies is required
Experience managing software (Android, Windows, and Embedded Linux) and/or silicon development or product roadmap is required
Bachelor's degree require; Master's preferred.
