Job Overview

Qualcomm SoCs provide integrated solutions for smart phone, computing, entertainment, automotive, connectivity, and IoT products worldwide. As part of audio application engineer at Qualcomm, you will have an opportunity to support Qualcomm IOT platform customers projects bringing cutting edge audio technology on Linux platforms powered by Qualcomm SoCs running Android operating system to the IOT market and help customers to integrate differentiated features on DSP/CPU.

This position requires the candidate to interface with the engineers at customers and wireless carriers worldwide and work with them to understand feature requirements and provide support to OEMs in software designs, provide technical training, analysis and debugging/troubleshooting of issues reported on different tech areas such as audio framework, HAL, ALSA and drivers, provide assistance in integrating and bringup of customer specific features.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Embedded SW development

  • Programming in C/C++ Experience in Java and perl/python programming

  • Knowledge of software design patterns and multi-threaded programming

  • Android multimedia frameworks and audio related applications

  • ALSA framework

  • Linux driver development and debugging

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
