General Summary:

Qualcomm Government Technologies (QGOV) provides transformative, trustworthy, mission-focused wireless solutions and services designed to improve our government’s capabilities. QGOV is seeking an experienced professional for a key accounting role in QGOV Finance. This role will function as the accounting / balance sheet technical lead amongst a team of project financial analysts and cross-functional stakeholders within the division, will support key business initiatives from an accounting perspective and will ensure proper accounting treatment and alignment with established accounting standards and corporate practices and will work closely with the division’s government compliance lead to support key government deliverables and other compliance initiatives.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to, primary interface with corporate technical accounting team, revenue recognition analysis, drafting of accounting memos, mergers and acquisition accounting support, account reconciliations, quarterly reporting schedules, support and review of accounting related to billing, accounts receivable, inventory, etc. Support of various government compliance related activities and deliverables including audit support, incurred cost proposal, review and testing of internal controls.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

• CPA with strong technical accounting focus

• 5-7 years accounting experience

• Applicants selected must be a U.S. citizen and must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry and/or public accounting firm experience

  • Experience including U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition, government cost accounting, SOX and project financial analysis

  • Regulatory knowledge with CAS, FAR, DFAR

  • Experience with government audit support

  • Aptitude for financial systems and reporting, including Oracle, HFM, TM1, Costpoint, SharePoint, Tableau, in addition to Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Adaptable and flexible to changing business environments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proactive, self-starter and motivated to succeed
