Description/Responsibilities:

Qualcomm XR Labs Europe has an immediate opening for a software engineering internship with specialization in computer vision technologies in Salzburg or Vienna, Austria. As an intern you will contribute to our in-house computer vision library developed for various XR applications and optimizing them for the next generation of wearable devices. Areas of interest reach from real-time tracking of devices and objects to 3D reconstruction and scene understanding. You will research state-of-the-art concepts and together with your colleagues work on novel approaches in the field of XR. Organized according to the best agile methodology, our team is working on essential areas of augmented reality for mobile and future platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a BSc or MSc Program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Graphics or related field.

  • Solid Math background (Linear Algebra, Trigonometry, Analysis)

  • Experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

  • Completed courses in computer vision, image processing or machine learning

Answering “Yes” to one or more of the following statements will be considered a plus:

  • I have already actively worked with computer vision algorithms (e.g. OpenCV, Matlab)

  • I have already done app development on Android or iOS

  • I have a strong passion for computer vision development and keep myself updated on the latest and greatest in tools and methodologies.
