The Qualcomm Automotive team is rapidly expanding to offer optimized solutions for infotainment and ADAS/Autonomous Driving. To scale and strengthen our offering in this domain, we are seeking a strong Embedded Software Engineer who enjoys working with cutting edge technologies, in a super-charged fast-paced environment.

We are seeking experts in camera driver development .

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Join us an Embedded Software Engineer as you design and architect camera, display and/or image processing software in Qualcomm’s automotive Snapdragon camera processors.

  • Develop next generation imaging features used in ADAS and automotive functional safety.

  • Get exposed to industrial best practices working with high profile automotive manufacturers.

  • Develop knowledge and competency across a variety of HLOS frameworks that powers tomorrow’s vehicles.

  • Work with a team of talented people defining the future use cases to empower the next generation of autonomous vehicles.

  • Design and implement new automotive camera related features following defined Automotive SW Safety Standards

  • Participate in design meetings discussing customer requirements and formulate feature design documents

  • Participate in test development and test automation to increase test coverage benchmarks

  • Debug real time issues reported by automotive manufacturers in an actual vehicle test drive

  • Work with research and development group to integrate and commercialize innovative applications

  • Fast prototyping for feasibility study on next generation of use case scenarios

  • Develop compelling demo use cases for tradeshows and conferences

  • Propose innovative suggestions for optimizations and enriching enhancements for upcoming HW generations

Required Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of C programming

  • Experience with Linux build system

  • Experience with Linux on-target debugging (adb, logging, etc.)

  • In-depth understanding of Camera/ISP/Image sensors, SoC architecture and RTOS.

  • Working experience with Git/Perforce source code management systems

  • Experience in one or more of the following HLOS environments: Android framework, Automotive Grade Linux, QNX, GreenHills

  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical and debugging skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Camera tuning experiences and working knowledge

  • Working knowledge of popular automotive SERDES

  • Programming experience with popular sensor modules

  • Experience delivering large scale SW for Automotive ADAS/Compute or Infotainment programs.

  • Strong understanding of Camera ISP features and functionalities
