Job Overview

Connectivity Software Power Team is involved in defining power features and ensuring power goals for Qualcomm chipsets are achieved. The following are the responsibilities and desired skill set for members in this team.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for WLAN/BT power enhancements and meeting the power targets set for SW milestones, both standalone KPIs and DOU requirements

Design & develop power optimization features, also create prototype software as proof of concept

Analyze & debug issues causing additional power consumption and identify/resolve regressions from build to build.

Perform power measurements for verifying and debugging the power features

Assist as needed with analyzing power delta between test platforms and customer products

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

2+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.

2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong C design and coding skills and experienced in low level debugging

Experience with scripting languages such as Python

Familiarity with WLAN and BT standards

Familiarity with real-time operating systems

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
