General Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Apigee API Gateway Specialist to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our API infrastructure using Apigee, including Apigee Hybrid.

Design, implement, and manage API solutions using Apigee API Gateway, including Apigee Hybrid deployment models.

Collaborate with software developers, architects, and other stakeholders to define API specifications and requirements, adhering to OpenAPI Spec standards.

Configure and optimize Apigee policies, proxies, and extensions for optimal performance.

Integrate Apigee with AWS services and manage API gateways within an EKS environment.

Implement automation for deployment processes and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient API lifecycle management.

Ensure the security of APIs by implementing authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.

Monitor and troubleshoot API gateway performance issues, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.

Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in API management and security.

The role also involves additional responsibilities in leadership, mentorship, and strategic decision-making within the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).

OR

5+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

• 3+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with Full-stack Application Development (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)

• 1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.
