For more than 25 years, the Israel centers engineers and scientists have continued to develop technology breakthroughs in various areas that enable Qualcomm to deliver value to the Companys collaborations with device manufacturers and developers.

Fingerprint sensors are a hot item in mobile platforms. Qualcomms unique ultrasound based sensors are capable of generating an accurate 3D fingerprint image allowing for high-quality matching and anti-spoofing detection. In addition, the ultrasonic sensor can be placed underneath different materials, such as the display, glass, and aluminum, allowing for an elegant industrial design. Qualcomm Israel Fingerprint team is looking for a creative and motivated system algorithm engineer with excellent problem solving and execution skills.

The candidate will join a brilliant team of algorithmic/signal processing experts located in our Hod-Hasharon and Haifa offices. The team is responsible for the research, development and commercialization of strategic functionality within Qualcomms unique Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor (Sense ID).

Minimum Qualifications

Solve complex signal processing challenges related to ultrasonic signals and the biometric domain

Come up with innovative ideas for performance enhancements and new roadmap features

End to end ownership of algorithmic features from concept to commercialization (Matlab to C)

Work with various customers to ensure smooth integration and successful product launches

Communicate with the local team (Hod-Hasharon & Haifa) and other Qualcomm global sites

Preferred Qualifications


Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in EE, computer science, physics or mathematics.

Up to 5 years of hands-on experience with complex signal processing tasks

Relevant experience in one or more of the following fields: signal processing, machine learning, and image processing

Development Tools: Matlab, Visual Studio

Programming Languages: Matlab, C, python

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
