The NFC & Secure Software & Systems team is responsible for the development of software end systems encompassing ARM Trustzone applications and contactless technology, developing software which will power the leading edge of Smartphone applications.

Responsibilities:

The role entails development of software in C and C++ to support features in the Trusted Execution Environment. The successful candidate will receive direction from, and be responsible to, a technical lead, and will have day to day responsibility for documentation, implementation, unit test and debugging of specified individual modules of our TEE solution and applications. The role does not require extensive travel, but some travel in support of engineering teams outside of the UK or external to Qualcomm should be expected from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

1+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

A love of the craft of software engineering and a good understanding of the principles of device driver development and/or embedded development is essential. We are looking for an engineer who is highly self-motivated, and who will thrive in a relatively small and focused team environment. Desirable skills include: Solid proficiency in C and/or C++. Knowledge or experience of Smartphone OS architecture and design. Debugging tools and skills for embedded systems. Ability to absorb and understand complex specifications quickly. Knowledge of a scripting language with a slight preference for Python. Knowledge of or demonstrable interest in NFC and mobile security technologies. Strong social and collaborative engineering skills.

Education Requirements

A good degree at BSc, MEng, MSc, PhD level in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
