We are looking for a talented, motivated software security lead. In this role, you will be working on features to drive software security strategy to continuously improve security of Qualcomm products and achieve industry leading position.
Your role includes executing Linux/Android security roadmap and initiatives, collaborating with cross functional teams in the organization to achieve the security goals.
You will work with various cross-functional teams as well as open source community, OEMs and partners. This position is with Qualcomm's fully-owned subsidiary, the Qualcomm Innovation Center (QuIC). QuIC is focused entirely on open source software development. In particular, QuIC will concentrate on Linux Kernel and Android software code development and will actively participate in the open source community.
Implement software security strategy and initiatives to continuously improve security of Qualcomm products
Execute security roadmap and initiatives, collaborating and influencing cross functional teams in the software organization
Implement software security techniques in compliance with Linux Kernel and Android software architecture
Enable counter measures to help mitigate exploitation of security vulnerabilities
Perform threat modelling, implement attack surface reduction and hardening features
Drive security vulnerabilities detection initiatives and security campaigns
Perform design review and code review of Linux user space and kernel drivers to improve software security
Debug and fix security issues in Android and Linux user space/kernel software
Implement tools and security tests to identify security vulnerabilities
Support customers on security related issues and assist them in meeting their security goals
What are we looking for?
Embedded Linux software development
Strong C /C++ programming skills
Experience in Linux Kernel and Android Software Development
Experience with ARM processors and/or embedded software development on mobile devices
Software Security Experience (security principles, threat modelling, exploit mitigation, vulnerability detection, etc.) or related work experience
