General Summary

The Automotive business within Qualcomm is a fast growing segment encompassing a wide range of products sold into both automotive factory-fit and aftermarket applications. At the same time, the technologies continue to evolve, e.g. 4G / 5G, and the devices (ECUs) and applications built on top of these technologies are increasing in number, complexity and overall importance to the driving experience.

This position will be responsible for:

• Design and development of Linux device driver with hands-on experience on Linux platform bring-up/ porting

• Debug and identify the root cause for any critical system issue like crash, system lock, abnormal reset etc.. on the Qualcomm Linux platforms.

• Performance analysis various KPIs (boot, CPU, power) across various sub systems

  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills with focus on system level debugging with JTAG Trace 32

  • Strong C, C++ program skills.

  • Experience in HW/board bringup, pre/post silicon validation and exposure to equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), working with teams across multiple time zones

  • 3 -5 years in the following areas required:

  • Experience in Linux kernel architecture and driver development, such as signals, priorities, deadlocks, stacks, interrupt, memory management, scheduler, synchronization methods.

  • Experience in Linux kernel upgrade is a plus

  • Experience in multiprocessor architecture, ARM processors, caching, interrupts.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors - Computer Science, Bachelors - Engineering, Bachelors - Information Systems

Work Experiences:

2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience

4+ years Software Engineering or related work experience. ,1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). ,2+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,2+ years experience with API. ,2+ years experience with Database Management Software.
