Staff Engineer : Software Engineer

What you'll do

  • Develop a flexible Visualization backend framework which can be used for in vehicle as well as off line.

  • Integrate the visualization backend with a frontend like Foxglove.

  • Integrate the solution to the feature pipelines for continuous development and integration purpose (CI/CD)

  • Contribute to environments for automated testing.

  • Work in an agile environment and collaborate locally and globally.

  • Be part of Qualcomm's growing Automotive Business

  • Develop a harmonized and flexible SiL platform which can be used in various tools and different test methods (e.g. re-processing, open- and closed-loop simulation)

  • Generate the SuT according to the time plan and customer request. Emulate hardware dependencies to represent hardware behavior in the SiL

  • Integrate the solution to the feature pipelines for continuous development and integration purpose (CI/CD)

  • Contribute to environments for automated testing

  • Work in an agile environment and collaborate locally and globally

  • Be part of Qualcomm's growing Automotive Business

What you'll bring

  • University degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or similar field

  • 10+ years of industry experience

  • At least 10 years of proven track-record of C++ programming (Windows and Linux); Python and TypeScript will be a bonus.

  • Relevant experience with:

  • Experience in middleware like DDS

  • Strong C++ design and development.

  • Exposure to OpenGL will be a plus.

  • automotive embedded SW and its environment in the vehicle incl. automotive bus systems and AUTOSAR standard protocols.

  • automotive test methods (simulation or re-processing)

  • CI/CD concepts, setup and productive usage

  • working with build systems, such as CMake and Bazel

  • Relevant experience with:

  • automotive embedded SW and its environment in the vehicle incl. automotive bus systems

  • automotive test methods (simulation or re-processing)

  • SiL framework development, SUT generation

  • CI/CD concepts, setup and productive usage

  • working with build systems, such as CMake and Bazel

  • AUTOSAR (Classic/Adaptive)

  • Knowledge of Rviz, ROS, Foxglove.

  • Pro-active and a good team player

  • Ability to work independently towards a goal.

  • Acted as a tech lead and mentor of early-career developers and being a persistent, creative problem-solver.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

  • Ability to manage individual workload and deliver established project milestones.

  • Self-motivated with a persistent desire to learn and understand the unknown
