General Summary:

A variety of high performance, multithreaded, low power Hexagon cores are at the heart of Qualcomm’s multi-tier mobile SOC, Server, IoT, Automotive roadmap. The Hexagon architecture is designed to deliver performance with low power and area over a variety of applications like Audio, Modem, Machine learning, IoT and Automotive cores. You will be working on modem cores and AI cores which are the best in the mobile industry. Your work will drive innovation in instruction set, RTOS, software architecture, microarchitecture, power, thermal and solving di/dt issues.

We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to work on our high performance energy efficient cores. Experience with CPU micro-architecture, including knowledge of areas such as processor pipelines, out of order design, load store unit, caches, cache coherence, ordering, memory hierarchy, multi-processor, multi-thread processor systems is preferred. You will own the microarchitecture and RTL development including low power refinements, performance exploration and meeting area and timing goals. Proficiency in communication, collaboration and teamwork skills required.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

1+ years CPU architecture experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

• 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.

Pay range:

$113,500.00 - $170,500.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
